Inspired Boys Room

Objective: It is not every day that a client interview revolves around the wishes of an 11 year old boy whose passions include reading, Legos and all things Potter.
We wanted to transform the small generic bedroom into something magical and yet functional for our young client. The custom built-in bunk bed gives him plenty of space for an overnight friend but most importantly, the velvet drapes on the lower level allow him to read in solitude and get lost in the world of fantasy that he so loves.
The built in shelves surrounding the window give ample space for displaying the young scholar’s books, collectibles and his latest Lego creations. Concealed cabinets and drawers throughout the unit provide storage for games and treasures.
The window seat creates another place to read and enjoy the view of nature outside and the desk gives the boy genius plenty of space for homework, exploration and building. Adjacent to the desk, opposite the bed is a custom designed magnet board featuring a map of middle earth. The functional art piece is one of the young client’s favorite features in his new room and the swivel chair below it gives him a comfy place to sit and day dream about the fantasy adventures of middle earth.
