Warm Sophisticated Galley Kitchen

Objective: After years of living in a kitchen that only “functioned” this couple wanted to completely gut and begin anew with style.

Beginning with a complete re-design, which included moving the refrigerator to the opposite wall, relocating the stove, and adding a true vented exhaust hood, this transformation began.

Maple hardwood floors were installed. Custom pewter stained alder cabinets with brushed gold hardware were chosen for function and style. Dramatic quartz counter tops, walnut butcher block counters in the new bar area, over-sized subway tile with custom laser etched marble and hand colored with “Tiffany” blue stain to create the “always been there” look and feel. All this was capped off with crystal and brass light fixtures, and gold/textured/pattern wallpaper to create complete subtle drama.
