Our client shared their remodeling hopes with us for their master bathroom. Although the existing overall space was large, it was unbalanced with a very small shower area and a bigger-than-needed closet square footage. There weren't enough vanity drawers. The grandiose bathtub overwhelmed the room. She works in a medical field and stands all day. At the end of the day, she longed for a place to soak her tired feet. Their desire was to create a luxurious, contemporary bath retreat which incorporated a large walk-in shower, smaller tub, spacious vanities, and most importantly, a pedicure spa in which she could soak her aching feet.

The solution:
-Remove existing walls within the bathroom and closet to create one large bathroom space
-Build a large walk-in shower with a bench seat and recessed shampoo caddies
-Install a slipper tub for soaking
-Design a pedicure spa to soak her aching feet
-Create one large vanity with drawers and defined makeup area
-Incorporate a specialty glass tile ecstatically discovered by the client as the focal point for all other product choices
-Select sleek, contemporary design choices to match the styling in this modern home

The pedicure spa was the underlying reason for the client to move forward with her bathroom remodel. We had not designed or installed a pedicure spa previously. Not one of us had ever seen one in a residential bathroom, so this was a design challenge for our company. We had to do lots of research on what to buy, how to install it, and how to make it functional for the client.

The finished result was a spacious, luxurious master bath with a beautiful walk-in shower. It was a glamorous, functional, contemporary bathroom incorporating the pedicure spa, makeup area, and soaker tub the client desired.
