This was a refacing project. After taking off all their existing door and drawer fronts, it was time to sheet the cabinetry with a 1/8" painted maple plywood, this included sheeting all sides and bottoms of the existing cabinetry. Next, new door and drawer fronts were added containing a beautiful glaze finish giving the room warmth. Accent trims and moldings were used in a contrasting rich wood color to create a "pop" against the white finish and pull out the glazing color. Raised panels were then added to all sides of the island making a wonderful focal point for the kitchen. Lastly, a unique pantry system was added in place of the existing closet pantry. It included both drawers and doors, giving the client just the storage and organization that they were looking for. With the new black appliances replacing the white appliances and a tile backsplash to put the finishing touch on the existing countertops, the new kitchen was finally the vision they had always dreamed of.
