Mid-Century Modern Primary Suite Revival

This project transformed the primary suite of a 1967 ranch home into a cohesive, inviting retreat that feels fully integrated with the rest of the residence. Originally added in the 1990s, the suite felt disconnected from the home’s character and lacked the functionality and visual harmony needed for modern living. The remodel focused on honoring mid-century modern influences while introducing thoughtful spatial planning, improved proportions, and timeless design elements that enhance both daily comfort and long-term resale appeal. The result is a refined, welcoming environment that completes the home and aligns with its architectural roots.

The redesigned layout improves flow, usability, and comfort through a series of intentional upgrades, including a spacious curb-less shower, a custom two-person vanity with concealed storage, and built-in cabinetry that creates a graceful transition into the bedroom. Highlight windows and the replacement of the original bay window significantly increased natural light, reinforcing the suite’s warm and inviting atmosphere. Custom millwork, organic mirror forms, and carefully integrated storage solutions balance function and aesthetics, creating a primary suite that feels modern yet authentic. Both luxurious and livable.
