Ravine Restoration and Stabilization
Glacial Till created the Ravines along the North Shore of Lake Michigan. These areas are classified as Oak Savannas with Red Maples throughout. Erosion from water flows, decreasing light conditions along with limited use created the need for stabilization with retaining walls, walkways and new plantings. Now it is a haven for play, exploration and color. This type of landscape requires a mindful watch for any shifting.
