The Citrus orchard had a large drainage pit and drain line that was slowly eroding the land away. Each tree had rock rings that were unattractive and somewhat hard to navigate to.

The access was achieved by building an organic staircase from the upper terrace down to the Citrus Orchard. The slope contained fill soil, comprised of clay and rock, helping to secure the steps, but new soil was brought in to amend future plantings.

The path of the steps had to be determined while building each step. Meeting the top step to the existing terrace proved to be a challenge.After an alteration in the path, we achieved our goal.

The final stairway creates a romantic getaway and breathtaking views to the Bing Crosby developement.

The lower terraced Citrus Orchard is now easily accessed and became a usable space for the clients.

The lowest platform was built 8 x 8 feet square to provide an area for two chairs, a table, baskets for fruit and vegetable gathering, a bottle of wine and breathtaking views.
