The original home on this property was destroyed during the 2008 Tea Fire. In order to meet the clients' restricted rebuilding budget, the architect suggested a contemporary design; its straight and simple lines make it one of the more cost effective architectural approaches. The finished product, with its beautiful strand woven bamboo floors, granite countertops and floor to ceiling picture windows providing stunning views of Santa Barbara Channel is more elegant than what anyone though the budget could support.(Architect: Peter Becker Architect; Interior Design: RandyFranks Studio)
