Scissors Salon
This popular local salon has many long-term clients and is a very busy place. Its a high volume, fast paced salon. The owners of the shop came to us with the challenge of moving their existing 1300 square foot salon into a much smaller 500 square foot salon, that needed to accommodate the same amount of traffic. This particular space was previously a cell phone shop with a very basic storefront. When we first saw the space it had yellowed ceiling tiles, a low ceiling, dark, worn out tile floors, and it was TINY! We took on the challenge of creating a attractive, durable, well functioning salon in a very short timeline and practical budget.
To create the illusion of a larger space and to keep it interesting, we designed a unique ceiling panel system, allowing us to illuminate the space properly, getting light closer to the work stations. We also wanted to highlight The Scissors branding by integrating a neon logo in the centre of the store that is easy to see from the street. The fresh new look will allow the small shop to continue serving happy clients for many years to come.
