SOUTHPARK KITCHEN AND BATH MAKEOVER

Remodeled and opened kitchen to living room, added a sunroom and remodeled the master bath

Project Year: 2019

This is a video of the completed project (except the master bath). The goal was to pull together all of the social gathering areas with an open plan, increased site lines and better connection to the backyard area.

We took out the old walk-in pantry in the corner of the kitchen and created this piece that complements the dining area but is a pantry cabinet. The shiplap and metal window were added to give a visual backdrop for the dining table and the black metal ties it to the sunroom

Drop zone as you come in from the garage and wine cooler because it equadistant between the island and the formal dining room

Sink and faucet closeup. The faucet size plays well with the exceptionally long island. That and the bowed backside play off the bowed window area.

Island view from the bay window. The herringbone pattern on the tile plays well with the chevron pattern on the rug. Again, you can see the tall pantry element that blends with both the kitchen and the dining area.

View towrad the formal dining room from the bay windows. The upper lit cabinet provide ambience and really support the backsplash tile. The cabinetry is intended to provide a supporting role.

View of the dining area from the sunroom. The two doors replaced windows. The shiplap in the sunroom and dining area both play well with the planked and beamed ceiling. So do the wood accents on the wall mirror, the dining lite fixture and table.

We took out the old decked tub to add the freestanding tub

The angled walk in pantry was taken out to allow the kitchen design to pull together coherently

The client upgraded from the gas cooktop to a 36" range and that allowed us to get rid of the tall oven cabinet. The microwave then moved to the island so we could have nice flanking elements on either side of the new range

View of the old covered porch. The 3 windows came out to make room for new double doors and the fireplace moved to the new sunroom allowing us to place a window in the fireplace chase.

The wall was extened (left) and the appliances found new homes (range in this area and microwave on the island)
