Hemingway Transitional Kitchen & Primary Bathroom Remodel in Reston
Situated in a beautiful neighborhood near a lake with lots of walking trails and green space, the location of this single family home in Reston was perfect but our clients were ready to create updated spaces that better suited their aesthetic and lifestyle. We started in the Kitchen with a transitionally designed space packed with modern elements that blend with the rest of the home. The Pantry also got a makeover, with wooden swinging barn doors that not only look great, but are also functional. They provide a great way to conceal a direct line of sight into the space but, perhaps more importantly, allow for ease of access for hungry teens in search of snacks! The main level flooring was also replaced throughout and the stairs to the upstairs level stained to match.
In the Primary Bathroom, our clients were ready to make some BIG changes! The floorplan of the bathroom was completely reconfigured. They wanted to remove the oversized tub and go tub-free. We moved the double vanity to the prior location of the tub and created a stunning double shower in the space where a small shower stall and toilet once stood. We moved the location of the toilet and created privacy with a separate toilet room with a pocket door instead.
The Kitchen and Bathroom now live up to the modern, transitional finishes in the rest of the home.
