Having lived in their townhouse for 11 years, this Reston couple were ready to make big changes to their home to update it throughout to better reflect their modern aesthetic. Enter Synergy Design & Construction! In addition to other changes on all three levels, we completely remodeled the Master Bathroom, Guest Bathroom and Powder Room.

The Master Bathroom was reconfigured and designed to more comfortably accommodate the tall homeowner and is barely recognizable with a large new gorgeous frameless shower with a built-in bench. The existing shower and toilet had been scrunched into one end of the bathroom behind a partition wall making the whole bathroom feel much smaller than it really was and not taking advantage of the high vaulted ceiling. Like many other homeowners, our clients were ready to get rid of the little-used tub that took up a lot of space at the other end of the bathroom. Removing it completely and relocating the toilet to that location created a much larger, airy feeling in the bathroom.

The Guest Bathroom was also given a complete makeover and is now also a welcoming, modern space. On the main level, the Powder Room now makes a design statement with floor tile that pops against the new vanity and other finishes.

Beyond remodeling the bathrooms, we also installed new flooring and lighting fixtures and fans throughout the home, replaced the Kitchen countertops and updated the plumbing fixtures. New paint throughout and an updated “Black satin” color on the stair balusters and railings completed the transformation, making the whole home feel fresh and modern.
