Total redo of a Master Bath and walk in closet in Alexandria, VA. The shower was inadequate for the two busy homeowners. The builder had built an eight foot tall wall cutting across the bath and effectively shortening the more than adequate room. We cut down the wall to 42", pulled the shower out twice it's depth and added lots of rich grey marble. The rusty veins in the black granite counter top gave us the inspiration for the rich cherry cabinets; it all works off the warmth of the grey marbles. We moved the wall of the walk in closet a little more than a foot to expand the storage in the closet. We also took out the double doors that opened into the bath and reduced the opening space and it's accessibility with the installation of a pocket door.
