A custom home when built, the oak cabinets were looking quite dated and had none of the modern amenities such as full extension drawers and soft close doors. As the clients had lived with the space for thirty years they had determined what changes they wished to make. Modern appliances including a drawer style microwave made cooking more efficient. The rich granite on the island allowed for a darker cherry finish than the rest of the kitchen. They were determined to keep the traditional saltillo tile on the floor, a really good idea.
