When this home was built, it was apart of a development where the builders used standard builder-grade products to manage costs and maximize their investment profits. So when the new homeowners purchased this house, they knew it would need some updating. Although the home was in good condition, it didn't have the aesthetics and character they wanted in their second home. By updating the kitchen using the existing cabinetry and counterops, we refinished all the cabinets with a dark rich stain, and added a punch of color with the island done in a turquoise rubbed finish. In the bathrooms, we refinished in the same turquoise, and added new sinks and oil rubbed bronze troff style faucet. Throughout the home, we replaced the hollow-core builder grade white doors, with knotty alder beadboard inset solid doors, stained to match the kitchen cabinets, and installed oil rubbed bronze hardware. The laundry room door was replaced with a barn style door, to allow for easy of access to the adjacent garage entrance and laundry room appliances.
