Classic White Kitchen with Glam

http://denisequade.com

This classic white kitchen was given glamorous details with great lighting, polished chrome fixtures, wonderful textiles, and a unique table. The mix of countertop materials; quartzite and walnut, warms up the space. Using the stone up the backsplash allows the stone to be the focal point. The homeowner desperately wanted to incorporate zinc into the plan, so a zinc topped table was used in the eat in part of the kitchen. Warm navy fabric was used on the bar stools. A custom hood by Vent-a-hood was used because of it's curved but clean lines. Columns were added to the island to help it feel like furniture. The gothic mullions were custom made, add a touch of feminism to the kitchen, mimic the lines in the pendants and bar stools to help bring it all together, and the mirror behind the mullions allows the country view outside to be reflected on the opposite side of the kitchen. The mirror also provides flexibility and allows for the storage behind them to change as the way the family uses the kitchen changes. The classic white cabinets mean this kitchen will remain timeless. Built-in cabinets were used to create storage space in the eat in kitchen and the result is beautiful furniture looking hutch piece. The mirror on the backsplash bounces around some light and helps these cabinets look more like furniture. Additional storage was added to the backside of the island for rarely used kitchen items. Outlet strips were added to the bottom of the wall cabinets so that the quartzite backsplash could be completely uninterrupted.
