Knocking down a wall and rethinking the footprint of this first floor allowed for a great transformation in this kitchen remodel project. The off white WoodMode cabinets help make the space feel larger. All the appliances were moved as was the sink, a professional grade stainless steel refrigerator and stainless steel range were incorporated, and a paneled dishwasher was added. The juxtaposition of the farm sink and the commercial faucet help create visual interest. The homeowner wanted to maximize storage and also wanted a spot to display pieces, so glass cabinets were added to the storage wall along the back. The island is stained a dark grey to help ground the space. Classic white subway tile was brought all the way from the countertop to the ceiling to help create the illusion that the ceilings are taller than 8 feet. A white quartzite was used on the perimeter countertops and a sueded granite was used on the island. Three new pendants and a great piece of large, colorful art help round out the style of the space.
