Moroccan Basement With Dark Grey Cabinets

http://denisequade.com

This basement was unfinished and under utilitzed when this family of five moved in. Knowing that their family was growing, they turned to the basement to create more living area that could be flexible as their family grew. A bar full of cabinets, overflow storage room with room for wine, living area, seating area, full bathroom, workout room, and sauna were all added to the space to maximize it's living potential. The addition of a fireplace helps ground the living area as does the built in corner cabinetry that houses the TV and it's components. The grass cloth wallpaper helps add texture while being calming to the eye. The unique shaped sofa and upholstered ottoman help maximize seating and make movie nights that much cozier. The bar features dark grey stained cabinets. The bar sink, dishwasher, and full size refrigerator are all in the bar while the full size oven and toaster oven were tucked into the overflow storage space since they aren't used as often. The wood top was locally made and the copper panels on the back of the raised wall provide an unexpected element that will patina beautifully over time.
