Nestled in the beautifully matured neighbourhood of Southeast Oakville, this traditional custom home is a reflection of the friendly, family-oriented homeowners. With the desire to create a formal design while still upholding a casual, family-friendly feel, David created a traditional centre-hall style home with the formal dining room and living room flanking the foyer. The foyer leads to a more casual open-concept family room and kitchen that smoothly transitions to the expansive backyard living space; including a wrap-around covered porch, outdoor fireplace, and multiple sitting areas. The large, inviting covered porch was the key to integrating the formality of the home with the rest of the outdoor amenities.

Interior Designer, Danielle Fernald, captured the homeowner’s lifestyle and design style in the exquisite finishings, mix of comfortable and formal furniture, and outstanding selection of artwork. The spectacular landscaping is credited to Gary van Eijk of Uncommon Ground Design Group, who created a beautiful and practical backyard fitting for an active, 5-person family.
