When David first visited our client's farm, he was struck by the expansiveness of the gorgeous rural property. Traveling down the 1/2 km driveway dotted with trees, his view was suddenly interrupted by a massive industrial farm building with a metallic green roof right next to the house.

Knowing the client truly loved the property, David wanted the resulting design to heighten their enjoyment of it for years to come. The home's traditional design incorporates a soft colour palette and natural materials like fieldstone and wood to create a timeless bond with the land. A generous use of windows -- including a glass-paneled dining room -- allows for property gazing from anywhere in the home. Last, but certainly not least, the farm building received a major facade upgrade, connecting it better with the overall design and property, while still maintaining a connection to its memorable original green roof.
