The Muskoka Room

To bring the best of cottage living to the suburbs; this was the goal of the homeowners when they embarked on their custom home design. They wanted a warm and welcoming home nestled into the mature, family-friendly neighbourhood of Mineola West, Mississauga.

There is truly a cottage feel in the design of this home. The rolling rubble stone exterior creates warmth, the French doors on the front porch invite you into the home and the prominent front gable and copper details add character. The couple’s favourite room, the three-season Muskoka room, features a double-sided wood-burning fireplace and large windows that open to the great room, spreading the cottage-like coziness throughout the home.

From the timber-framed entrance reminiscent of a Colorado mountain home to the consistency of natural wood, earthtones and arched windows and cabinetry throughout the home, all the details speak to the style of the homeowners and their affinity for cottage living.
