Hillsboro Bathroom Remodel

For this master bathroom remodel, we took everything down to the studs and reconfigured the space to make it more functional for our client. We left the shower in the same place; however, we rearranged the plumbing to mount the shower head on the new wall. We opted for a mud set shower installation for increased durability and longevity and put in white and gray tile up all 3 walls of the shower. We did a simple white subway tile on the 2 side walls, with a marbled white and gray tile in a feather pattern on the back wall as an accent, and put in a new glass shower door. We framed in blocking for future grab bar installation and included a shampoo niche and corner shelf for additional storage. We also replaced the old vent fan, including a timer switch in our new install.

Having a tub in this bathroom was not working for our clients, so we removed it, allowing us to extend the vanity from a single to a double vanity, and put in a new bench outside the shower. We installed new fixtures and lighting throughout the bathroom, including a can light above the shower and new lights above the vanity, all on dimmer switches to allow our clients more control over the ambiance in their space. We also added under-shelf lighting to the vanity for better visibility of the counters. To complete the space, we retiled the floor, repainted the walls, and installed a new door from the bedroom to the bathroom.

In addition, we made some upgrades to the lighting in the master bedroom. We installed new can lights throughout and pendant lights on either side of the bed, all on dimmer switches as well, and put in a ceiling fan to improve air circulation in the room.
