Hillsboro Home Remodel
This home remodel was completed in three phases. In the first phase, we went through and replaced all the windows to increase the energy efficiency of the home. In the second phase, we painted the whole exterior, replaced both the front door and garage door, and installed new lighting fixtures to give the outside of the home a refreshed look.
Phase three was a full gut remodel of the interior of the home. We started by re-doing the staircase and beam wrap in the entry of the home to create an updated look and feel as you walk in. We reconfigured the layout of the kitchen to improve the efficiency and feel of the space, making it feel more open and providing plenty of counter space. We installed new appliances and two-tone cabinets. To brighten up the space and improve visibility, we put in new pendant lights over the peninsula and under-cabinet lighting. In the living room, we re-did the built-ins to create a more functional storage space and refreshed look. We also replaced the gas insert in the fireplace to improve functionality but left the existing brick in place to preserve some of the original character of the home. Our remodel also included the three bathrooms in the home. We updated all of them with new vanities, mirrors, and tiles to fit the style preferences of our clients. In the primary bathroom, we also removed the tub/shower combo to create a larger, curb-less shower with blocking for grab bar installation as an aging-in-place feature.
