This bathroom remodel focused on accessibility and functionality. Our clients have a special needs child who requires assistance bathing, so they needed a space to allow this comfortably. We replaced the existing shower with a curb-less shower and installed a bench, two shower heads, a wand on a slide bar, and controls near the shower entrance to make caregiving tasks easier on the family. We replaced the old flooring with large format tiles throughout the space, using minimal grout seams to reduce tripping hazards. Our clients requested a tile with traction to prevent slipping. To enhance visibility in the room, we decided to install can lights and undercabinet lights. We took out the wall that separated the vanity from the toilet and shower and constructed a new water closet with a wall-mounted toilet with a bidet seat to provide more privacy. Per our client's request, we replaced the existing vanity with a new floating vanity and chose to install quartz counters to brighten up the space. We added more storage to one side of the vanity by installing additional cabinets.
