This project in the Leaside area of Toronto involved removing load-bearing walls between the kitchen, dining room and a small family room, creating a single open space about 25'x22'. One of the walls was double brick and necessitated the installation of a steel I-beam weighing about 900 pounds. The kitchen cabinetry is IKEA Sektion system, with the "Torhamn" door style, custom painted black and white, with "Kungsbacka" black trim panels. Counter is Kstone v8006. 10 foot island. Kitchenaid appliances. 12 foot custom sectional sofa from Pavilion.
