Open-Concept Kitchen - IKEA Bjorket (Custom Painted Off-White)
This is a customized IKEA "Sektion" system kitchen I installed in a Leaside (Toronto) home as part of a full ground floor renovation. It features the "Bjorket" shaker door style, custom sprayed in Benjamin Moore OC-20 "Pale Oak" at 10% saturation, in a Pearl finish. The cabinet enclosing the double wall ovens is a "hack" of IKEA 36" base cabinets to create a 36" wide wall oven cabinet (which IKEA does not make), to match the 36" wide refrigerator enclosure.
The pantry wall adjacent to the kitchen also incorporates "hacked" cabinets (80" pantry cabinets cut down in height) and a custom-fabricated light box (featuring IKEA LED puck lights).
The kitchen under-cabinet lighting is LED strip lighting incorporated into a flat panel covering the underside of the cabinet (i.e., no standard IKEA light valance deco strip).
The island incorporates a zero-radius sink, Bosch dishwasher, microwave (behind cabinet doors) and wine cooler.
The room also features a custom TV enclosure featuring a ribbon-frame gas fireplace, "Silver Fox" ledgestone, custom-made floating shelves, and IKEA "Bjorket" cabinetry sprayed to match the kitchen cabinetry.
