This two-island kitchen was a part of a major renovation and transformation in Monmouth County, NJ. The area is more than a kitchen as it contains a sitting area with a fireplace, a powder room, and a desk area. The product was aptly named “The Gathering Room.” The result is any cooking enthusiast’s dream! In this particular family the husband cooks and wife bakes and both enjoy to entertain family and friends.

When we made the first computer floor plan for her, she looked at it and said, "Oh no. You have the spaced marked as KITCHEN. This project needs to be much more than just a kitchen. Please change that. It must say GATHERING ROOM."

The homeowner's final thought, "Neil, from the day I met you at the home show to your design and development work to permits, plans, and product shopping through all the construction and completion was nine months. It was just like a nine-month pregnancy; there were some days that I felt great and some mornings that I felt like throwing up, but once we had the final result we were joyous and knew it was all worth it!"
