The clients have a weekend cabin on the Nottely River, but are planning to sell their home in south Atlanta and move permanently to the river house. They needed to greatly increase the heated square footage of the home to accommodate a new sun room with ample view of the river, an office for the husband, a new garage with home gym, guest suite, kitchen and master suite. Since the house is in a flood plain, the addition was designed on piers with drive-under parking. The couple wanted to change the exterior look of the cabin to reflect a more sophisticated modern farmhouse styling.
