The first discussion about this new home included the homeowners bringing in multiple floor plans and pointing out details from each that they found interesting. They didn’t necessarily have the exact floor plan in mind but they did know exactly what they liked. After a number of preliminary ideas were discussed, the final floor plan was developed which lead to a house that they love and that costs, on average, $110 per month to operate. There were a lot of sustainable (green) options included that cost a little more on the front end but made the long term maintenance costs very low. The home includes 3 bedrooms, 3 baths, a great room on the main level and a very large family room/bar area in the basement.
