Exterior Covered Deck Renovation - 2014

CLIENT’S REASON TO REMODEL //
This remodel consisted of their living room fireplace that had a tile surround with oak finishes the homeowners didn’t care for. They also wanted to upgrade their unused deck into a place that would be utilized but didn’t want to disturb their existing stamped and stained concrete patio.

SOLUTION //
For the fireplace, we removed all of the oak and updated the look with a stone surround and a simple mantel. New cabinetry and shelving really tied in the fireplace and added accent lighting. As you can see from the before and after pictures the transformation really made the fireplace look like it fit in their living room, but it also made it more of a focal point giving them some very useful storage and display shelves. For their deck, we designed a cozy covered porch with a long-lasting composite floor. The railings were done with metal and a small section with solid panels to help hide their grill. With the covered deck and ceiling fan, it has made space much more usable and enjoyable than before.
