Capitalizing on Character
A new kitchen space created a warm and inviting environment for entertaining family and guests while respecting the home’s 1930’s Tudor style. The prior space was typical for a home built in that period with smaller cramped rooms and a flow that didn’t work for the family. Without expanding the footprint of the house, Meadowlark relocated the existing kitchen and powder room and created a larger kitchen that could fit their family. Widening the openings between the living room and the newly placed kitchen and dining room provides an open-concept feeling while also maintaining the details and elements consistent with the Tudor architectural style.
