This project is located on the first floor of a 1915 converted carriage house, totaling 565 square feet. This was a total gut renovation. Our client wanted to maximize storage, include the washer/dryer in the unit & install an HVAC system. We needed to relocate the kitchen. We also needed to lower the 14’ ceilings because the space felt too voluminous-those made the space feel too tall & narrow.The client insisted on accommodating a bidet in the bathroom. We created custom built-ins to provide maximum storage in the bedroom & custom kitchen cabinetry. The kitchen island does double duty as a lower cabinet pantry & television storage cabinet…television raises from cabinet on a custom lift.
