Contemporary High Rise Condo

How do you treat a glass windows for privacy and sun glare in a high-rise? That was what I was presented with on this job. As you can see the style was transitional contemporary. To solve the privacy and sun glare issue we used Hunter Douglas Skyline Panels. In the bedrooms we selected blackout fabric and in the family room we selected a linen like sheer. We used motorization in the family room since the one wall had panels over 246" wide. (You always need to make sure you can get the drapery hardware into the unit due to limitations in stairwells and elevators, otherwise you could find yourself addressing this problem and no one wants that!). To soften the windows we hung stationary patterned panels on the sides on the windows.

For the bathroom (not pictured) , which was a wall of glass, I had Comfortex create a custom design roller shade for this wall of glass. The shade allowed light to filter through and gave privacy.
