I had the pleasure of working on this cool house in Golden through Madeleine Krasnow of Madeleine Designs. A number of bench seat cushions were required throughout the house, drapes in duest room, and window coverings in various rooms.

In the kid's rooms, the bench seats were made in 3 pieces and out of Sunbrella fabric from Lulu. In the hall there was a 99" x 60" cushion fabricated from a great geometric print from Schumacher. 2 more cushions were fabricated for the kitchen and mudroom.

In the guest room, for privacy and to add softness to the room, we did unlined poly, linen drapes in a 3 finger Euro pleat. The drapes hung from 1" brushed nickel rod with Cylinder Finials.

For privacy in the kid's rooms we did room darkening Duettes with Ultraglide. In the master bedroom, the client wanted privacy and wanted it to be discreet. The solution was the Hunter Douglas Duette Vertiglide on the door and a shade on the window above the bed. The beauty of the Vertiglide is that it stacks to only 6.5" and that the headrail is small.

In the afternoon, the sun blasts into the family room and office. To solve the glare and blinding light, we installed Norman screen shades in 5%, A300 Pearl with the brand new Smart Release lift system. Some of the features I love about the Norman screen shades are the fabric wrapped hem bar, covers for the brackets, and the new Smart Release control. The client loved the fact that the shades were't even noticeable on the french doors!
