My Workroom Tour

Take a tour of my professional workroom and see all the equipment that is used to create beautiful window treatments. It all starts with the 144" long table and the high temp boiler iron. Then, depending on the job, the following machines may come into play: the industrial sewing machine, the blind hemmer machine, the walking foot machine, the ruffler machine, the serger, the computerized machine, and the tacker( my favorite).

This custom built fabric rack helps you pull linings and fabric off the bolt and directly on to your table. I stock over 8 different linings and interlinings.

To create flexibility in my sewing space, I have all my machines and big table on wheels.

Inside a drapery workroom-Shelves and storage are essential to staying organized. A magnetic board let's me keep track of whose job is next. The built in table in a niche area holds my serger and a computerized sewing machine.

A pegboard is another "must have". Here you can keep everyday tools easily accessible. You can add a pop of color to your space by painting the pegboards and other items you have.

Maximizing storage is a must. This container rotates and holds all the small fabricating items.

Mirrors are great way to bring more depth and light into a space. I loved this mirror for not only it's uniqueness, but also it's storage!

On the other side of the workroom is the "family" living space. In order to block off my project under construction, I installed 2 IKEA sliding tracks and 6 panels. This allows me to close off the space and hide the mess.
