Finishing Touches

This client came to me to help her create window treatments in her kitchen, dining room, and family room that flowed from one room to the other, but that were different in each room.

With the client's budget in mind and the wishes of the husband and wife, I went to work. Starting with the kitchen, we wanted a bit more pizazz in this space. Mock roman, banded shades with velcro sides were the perfect solution in giving the client access to opening the shutters and bringing a punch of color to the room.

In the family room, we were limited with 12" of space on the right side. We went with a 2 tone geometric pattern that pulled the colors of the kitchen paint. To give these 1 width panels more substance, they were lined, interlined, and the grommets were placed to the pattern.

Finally, came the dining room. The clients planned on replacing the furniture in this room, so we designed with what they planned to buy in the future. We selected 3 colors that were used in the paint and color scheme of the first floor and created a color blocked grommet drapery panel to give a bit more wow in this niche space.

The window treatments were the finishing touch to softening the windows and creating a more beautiful space!
