The goal of the owner was for a design to provide a complete outdoor working kitchen and social gathering area for friends and business associates during the Covid pandemic. The difficulty was tying the structure into the existing pool screen enclosure to make one contiguous space between the new outside kitchen and existing pool area and enclosing the remainder of the kitchen wall openings with screen walls. Those pesky mosquitos are a problem here in south Florida. Secondly, we had to work with connecting the new roof structure into multiple sloped roof over hangs of the existing house. We had to capture rain water and provide a creative drainage system comprised of custom gutters, downspouts and floor drains that were integrated into the structural elements of the enclosure
