The existing house was a dated contemporary built in the ’70s, complete with vertical siding & brown aluminum framed windows (some even being trapezoidal). Consequently, the house lacked detail, character & charm. All roofing, siding, trim & windows were removed & replaced, & and a covered entry was added to provide shelter at the front door.

The solution was to build a second story addition to create a master bedroom suite, which altered the forms & massing of the house. The existing master bedroom suite above the garage was converted to 2 kid’s bedrooms. Part of the first floor was remodeled as well, allowing for a better use of space.
