A Kitchen Defined by Atmosphere
This project explores a calm, elevated approach to everyday living — where clarity of form, softness of tone, and highly considered function come together seamlessly.
Set within an open-plan volume, the kitchen is designed as a quiet anchor to the home. A restrained material palette allows the space to feel light and expansive, while subtle detailing brings depth and tactility. The cabinetry, finished in a soft neutral tone, is paired with the gentle warmth of timber flooring and a refined pistachio hue introduced through the Dezignatek Ronda profile — a moment of colour that feels both fresh and grounded.
The NZ Panels Group Prime Stone Athena polished surface reflects light beautifully, enhancing the sense of openness while offering durability for daily use.
Function is deeply integrated, never competing with the visual calm. Internally, the kitchen is highly resolved with Stefano Orlati / Titus drawer systems and Blum soft-close hinges, complemented by Orga-Line cutlery inserts to bring order to everyday rituals. A Space Tower provides layered, ergonomic pantry storage, while the AVENTOS HK lift system allows overhead cabinetry to open effortlessly and remain visually unobtrusive.
Thoughtful storage solutions from Fit NZ — including the GIAMO side-mounted pull-out and Duplo swinging corner unit — ensure every corner is utilised with ease. A Hideaway bin system is seamlessly integrated, maintaining the clean lines of the cabinetry.
Appliances are carefully selected for both performance and aesthetic cohesion. Neff ovens, hob, and extraction sit quietly within the composition, paired with a Bosch dishwasher and Samsung refrigeration. Together, they support a kitchen that is as capable as it is composed.
The sink and tapware — ABI Interiors’ Seba sink and Robertson’s Elementi Uno mixer — are understated yet refined, contributing to the overall sense of balance and longevity. Cabinet handles from ABI Interiors (Evanda range) provide a subtle, tactile detail that reinforces the linear language of the design.
A bi-folding door system from Hafele allows the kitchen to be visually simplified when desired, giving flexibility between open display and concealed functionality.
Ultimately, this kitchen is not about statement, but about atmosphere — a space designed to feel effortless, where everything has its place, and where the experience of daily living is quietly elevated.
