Smart Storage, Renovation in Auckland

In this project we transformed tired laundry and kitchen spaces into functional, aesthetically pleasing layouts. The client needed more storage so we used every possible millimeter to give more storage and more useable space.
The bathroom was created in a former storage space.

The challenge with the design of the kitchen lay in the staircase connecting this floor to the lower level having caused the floor to this level to be cut to allow for headspace. We hid the area by creating a plinth for the pantry.

Making use of every available space
Having a bench along the whole wall makes for a statement and provides great bench space to fold clothes. Behind bifold doors we added storage shelving units, which provide linen and additional overflow storage. The client is over the moon about the additional storage!

The client opted for barn style sliding doors over cavity sliders. This really adds a nice touch.

This is a compact bathroom, hence we have the shower over the bath. but the standing room between the vanity and the bath tub feels really comfortable and the space feels really spacious. The wall to wall mirror helps making the space feel larger.
