Bryant renovation
Owners of this 1925 colonial revival house in Seattle's Bryant neighborhood asked us to resolve the exterior design and make the entry more welcoming. A narrow concrete porch had been built across the front at some point, and the original entry remuddled. Under a spiky trellis with spindly columns the porch saw little use, and cut the house off from the garden. Our new porch provides cover and focus for the entry, and restores planting beds below the windows. New classical details are appropriately scaled for the house and reinforce its original style. New color scheme highlights architectural details.
