When Kim bought this house it was clad in grubby blue vinyl siding, windows were swollen shut and its design nondescript. Small changes transformed her 1942 spec house into a fresh Colonial Revival "Cape," which is what she was after. We replaced doors, windows and siding. New porch provided shelter for entry, focus and enough detail to set Colonial Revival character. Other details fell easily into place once the theme was clear.
