Living and dining room in this 1908 West Seattle bungalow retained their original Arts and Crafts character, but kitchen and service areas had been poorly remodeled before our client bought the house. A cramped kitchen had no view while a storage room faced a lovely view of Puget Sound. We reworked the space for new kitchen, family room, pantry and bath. Since kitchen was one floor above grade, we added a covered porch to create a treetop perch. It has a great exposure, and serves as an outdoor room.
