We added a second floor master suite to this 1924 bungalow in Phinney Ridge neighborhood of Seattle. New partial second floor has vaulted ceilings and stair was built above existing that led to lower floor. Wall between living and dining rooms had been removed in an earlier remodel. We recovered shape and utility to these rooms, yet retained their openness. Chimney was extended above second floor a new covered front porch added.
