This classical backyard was truly a transformation in every aspect. When the initial analysis of the project took place, a freeform pool and spa sat square in the middle of the backyard limiting the usability of the spaces.

The client moved recently from the East Coast. Expectations were high as their last pool ended up on the cover of a gardening magazine. After looking through options of remodeling the pool, the solution we agreed on was a total tear out of the existing pool and a totally new design would take place.

The new pool is a 32x16 classical design that's simplicity is its best attribute. No one feature stands out but the project as a whole is as beautiful as it is functional. We have developed multiple spaces at different elevations for the entertaining that the client planned to do. The private bluestone walk to the fountain was developed as more of a private retreat off of the clients master bedroom. All of this punctuated by the beautiful landscape created a private, yet purpose driven backyard retreat.
