Private Paradise
When meeting with the customer for the first time, they expressed their desire for a pool with clean and simple lines yet wanted to not make the project too contemporary, as they wanted the outdoor space to transition well with the style of the home. The customer also had concerns with safety for their children and other children visiting their home yet did not want a pool cover to detract from the aesthetics of the project. To accomplish their desires, we kept with a large rectangular pool with a separate battered slate fountain wall. The view from the living area inside the home looks out to a fire pit with large decking and entertaining space placed symmetrically on either side of the pool. Your eye gets drawn out into the wooded yard as the pool extends out into the deep lot. The shape of the pool and fountain kept with the clean lines they wanted yet the materials brought in warmth with the use of natural materials-limestone coping, battered slate waterfall, stone textured decking, and limestone retaining walls. We were able to blend the pool cover into the color scheme of the project to give an overall stunning effect.
