Stunning Straightline
When this project started all we had to work with was a completely blank piece of land. The homeowner wanted to capture the open views to the back of their property and hoped to use a negative edge pool to do that. Once we established where their new home would be built there was just enough elevation drop to the back of the property to design the project with a negative edge and keep the basin safely away from the existing trees. The homeowner wanted to keep things very clean, sleek and contemporary to match the design that was planned within their residence. A leuders limestone was used on the retaining wall and spillover wall along with travertine pavers used as the pool coping and decking. A vibrant blue 1”x2” subway glass tile was used for the pool, spa and spa spillway to create a visual “pop” to the project. Finally, the homeowner selected a deep blue PebbleSheen finish for the plaster to give a beautiful finish to the project and as a result it creates some wonderful reflections of the natural backdrop to their yard. Once landscaping and furniture (color coordinated with the pool tile!) was in place this setting was truly transformed into a backyard resort!
