The Mediterranean style home focus centers on water and this project the desire was to replicate that the walls of inside and outside were blurred with the retractable screened in porch and casita and the water that connects these spaces. From the front door view through the air conditioned porch over the kiddy pool, spa, built in table to the pool water is the primary focal point. The view out of the game room doors likewise is the freestanding fountain against the casita.
The understated water features bring visual interest to inside and outside without making conversation difficult the planting pedestals with colorful pots and cannon jets emphasize the balance of the space. The walls, steps and drop beam allowed the project to gradually transverse the 5’ of elevation drop and allow for good circulation around all sides. The custom tiled table allowed people to relax in the center of everything. Access was provided from every room so that at anytime the Mediterranean paradise could be enjoyed by all.
