Downtown SB Cottage Path Gets a Twist
The homeowner’s small front yard had a new path & plant beds, but she wasn’t pleased with the DIY approach. The plants were struggling due to poor native soil, the drip irrigation was inadequate, and the overall effect was not working for her. So she contacted me & asked what I thought the area needed. The concrete paver path & Mexican pebbles were nice BUT needed some rethinking and sophistication for such a small space. Some plants needed moving, some replaced, and some repeated. A size appropriate water feature was added to harmonize with her black potted plants, add a tranquil sound, visual interest and support wildlife. The client was thrilled with my concept of creating a more dynamic pattern with the existing pavers. The invigorated plant beds are now thriving.
