This classically proportioned homes design combines a number of green techniques and technologies to reduce its energy usage and its associated carbon footprint. The key design element is the use of a three-story stair tower that acts as a ventilation shaft when the remote controlled skylights at the top are opened. The open floor plan on the first floor provides great 'flow'. Located down a hallway between the stairs is an octagonal office, with a separate client access entry. The backyard has an operable screened porch patio that provides insect control, and opposite it is an outdoor kitchen.

Front Exterior
This master bath features separate sinks with classic, large scaled medicine cabinets, with a large window facing into the backyard set between them. The large, freestanding tub is located symmetrically inline with the window.

While not quite an oval office, this octagonal space gives a similar, majestic feel. Bookcases and windows rhythmically alternate throughout the space.
Study
This outdoor den has an operable screen system (Phantom Screen), controlled via remotes, that provides an eco-friendly method of insect control. A wood burning fireplace and recessed outdoor LED TV are within the space.

The family room has a very high efficiency fireplace, with outside combustion air, that helps heat the space. The room has radiant floors set under engineered wood flooring.
